Networking: Theory and Practice

For any successful job search, networking is an essential strategy to break into the hidden job market. This workshop is composed of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part illustrates how a newcomer can create, expand and maintain a network of contacts.

The practical part presents the newcomer with a networking scenario and a personalized introduction tool, which is written by the participant (from his CV) and then practiced as a team to reduce anxiety. The counselor will facilitate the writing of the personalized scenario and will offer constructive criticism on the exchanges. Finally, the participant is encouraged to use his new introduction tool during LinkedIn invitations, at job fairs and when handing in his CV.
